Cancelled PFT

The CF team decided to cancel Ben's PFT this morning due to his cough. He is still a bit sick so they have decided to postpone it until the middle of October. This was a relief for Ryan and myself because we are in the middle of packing (we move Sunday!) and were a bit stressed with everything going on. So we are spending the day packing and getting Ben's first haircut! He did so great! He no longer looks like a baby which makes me sad. I saved the hair for Ben's baby book. We now have a little boy living in our house!

Sick, but sitting up

The little man has been sick the last two days but he seems to over the worst. Phew! The nights were hard but he pulled through and is back to our happy little boy. Thank you for everyones prayers! We switched his antibiotics to Amoxicillin because the Augmetin was doing a number on his tummy. We are all happy about that. They seem to be working, his cough is almost gone. Best part of this week is that Ben has been sitting up all by himself! Makes his mommy sad but so happy that he has come so far and is doing so well. Below are some pictures of Ben sitting up, playing with the hose in the backyard. I know, I know, I'm obsessed with taking pictures but who can blame me with such a cute face?!

Movin' on up!

We're going back to the 916! Yes, you heard it right. Ryan and I felt that we hadn't moved enough in our lifetimes so we needed to add one more. :) The three of us will be moving back to Sacramento at the end of the month. We miss our friends, activities, and the (cheaper!) cost of living. We plan on sticking with our CF team in San Francisco despite a center in Sac. I love our doctors and feel that since I have the time, I don't mind making the drive. It may not be convenient but it's what we feel comfortable with.

In other news, Ben unfortunately grew out two types of bacteria in his culture. There was not a whole lot of it but enough to put him on Augmentin, an antibiotic for two weeks. Augmentin comes with fun side effects like a nasty diaper rash and diarrhea. However, I have double up on Ben's probiotics and it has really seemed to have helped. I am getting a bit nervous for the upcoming flu season but know we can not protect Ben from everything. For now my obsessive use of hand sanitizing foam will have to do. Please continue to pray for Ben's health and that we make it through flu season healthy!

Big Boy

Our little man is starting applesauce (without enzymes!) and drinking from a sippy cup! Yay!
