What a fabulous day!! There was not a cloud in the sky. The weather was a perfect low-seventies, just enough for sun but not too hot. I checked our team in and learned that we raised over $5,000, exceeding our goal!! Yay!! Thank you to all who helped us get there. We learned later that our walk alone, in Sacramento, raised over $100,000! Can you imagine how much that’s going to help research towards a cure?! I can!
We wore red shirts and ribbons in honor of Conner and Eva. Thank to everyone for wearing one!
I was able to meet some of my fellow CF mom bloggers. It’s so nice to met other moms in my same position.
Ben had fun running all over the Capital. Later that afternoon, he took a three hour nap!

Thank you to all of our friends that came out- BJ and Ash, Carter, Shippy, Hanni and Kyle with his two sons (who were fabulous sign holders!). Our friends who made the trip from out of town; Sarah and Jeff, Michelle, David and sweet little Kaylee. Catherine, our amazing and supportive genetic counselor, who brought a friend with her. My cousin for bringing coffee. Natasha and Jenny, my sorority sisters. Ryan’s parents who made the trip up and his grandma. My parents who also did a fabulous job of Ben-sitting.
Thank you to all who emailed/texted/called, saying you couldn’t come out but you wanted to wish us luck. You were with us in Spirit! I’d also like to thank Ryan’s supportive Aunt Regina, who volunteered at the Santa Rosa GS, my cousin Corinne, who was walking in Arizona, and Ryan’s cousin, John, walking in San Francisco. We made Cystic Fibrosis known!
Next year will be even bigger and better!
I didn't realize ya'lls team is "Ben's Brigade"! How fun! What a wonderful group you had turn out!
